Durga is descendant of NIRRITI, who
invented farming (agriculture) in Saptasindhu's Valley(Indus Valley
Civilisation), considered as daughter of NIRRITI. Bamani enlightenment
has projected NIRRITI as the Goddess of Death but A-Bamani Jain and
Buddhist literature preserved her as the Goddess of Life.
Ghatsthapana, Garaba,
are nothing but to salute her for her contribution to agriCULTURE.
She and her Gana(tribe) first practiced 'plot-farming'
(Ghtasthapana is symbol of it) in Saptasindhu, as she succeeded
in it she extended her farming on the banks of Sindhu. Her practise of
farming (agri) created Sindhu Civilisation (Gynocracy and Matriarchy)
along the Sindhu river. Thus she became the source of her Gana's life
and culture. After her death she became Ganamata and in her
memory her descendants (Bahujan) practise Ghatasthapana, Garaba.
Nirriti recite in Vedas,
"Aham Rashtri, Sangamani Vasuna,
Chikitushi Prathama Yadniyanama II2II
Aham Janay samadan krunomya, aham
Dyavo-Pruthvi Aa Vivesha II5II"
I am Rashtri, the source of
Ganadhana, Yadnika preferred me.II2II
I 've been distributed in Gana, I organise
their Ganabhojan(diet of tribe), I occupied Pruthvi and
Aakash.II5II
Nirrit's descendant Durga, Bhadrakali, Amba or Jagadamba, Annapurna, Sarvamangala, Bhairavi,
Chandika or Chandi, Lalita, and Bhavani preserved Nirriti's values,
concept of equality in their Gana.
Durgapuja: Durga (her other name
Vijaya) killed Mahishasur, a Brahman, who had been charged by DEVA Gana
against Durga to capture her Matriarchial Gana. The tenth day of
Navratri is her triumph over Mahishasura celebrated as Vijayadashami,
actually she defeated Deva Gana(Brahman) who were assisting
Mahishasur and attacking her Gana's frontier (Sima). Durga's
Gana, her descendant preserved it as Simollanghan and Durga puja.
On the contrary, descendant of Deva
(Brahman) have been trying to erase this A-Brahmani culture by imposing
on it Triumph of Rama over Ravana by organising Ravandahan,
Killing of Baliraja ( the last Rajarshi of Matriarchial Gana
system) by Batu Vaman (Brahman).
